Koerner Wine - 2025 Rouge Gamay:
Lafitte called it “a serious number, showing perfect balance of elegance and power with a beautiful oak integration. On the nose you can see a complex layering of red cherries, strawberries and fragrant peonies, intertwined with earthy undertones that evoke damp forest floor and fallen leaves.” Jemmeson found it “lifted and aromatic with raspberry, red cherry and a dusting of spice. There’s more intensity here, with a concentrated core of fruit, bright acidity and that chalky, fine tannin that gives it drive. Feels energetic and focused, with good length.” Rapson described “a denser style – opulent, with notes of dark cherry and a slightly minty alpine undergrowth character. Real forest-walk vibes! Interesting graphite minerality on the palate, alongside a tight acid line and a chalky tannin presence that gives nice length.”
