2023 Vivian Sangiovese - 93 points - South Australian Wine Guide 2026

A striking purple-cherry red colour comes accompanied by some typical Sangiovese Brio – all bright, cherry-infused, savoury and dry. Red cherry, wild raspberry, sour cherry, thyme, earth and clay pot flavours range wide across the palate, seasoned nicely with a good lick of baking spices. Maturation in 2000L foudre for 15 months issues the wine with a grainy, chalky dry texture, showing plenty of spark. Lively sour cherry notes to close. Drink now
