2021 LEKO Pinot Noir - 92 points - Mike Bennie review (THE WINEFRONT)

From the Koerner brothers, who do their own label, this one, Leko, Brothers Koerner and now a cask wine label, Brothers In A Box. They have a lot on their plates. Adelaide Hills here.

Zippy, refreshing expression of pinot noir here. Sour cherry, tart raspberry, a little gummy tannin and licks of cashew nuttiness in the mix. Finishes a bit smoky-sooty and earthy, but the rippling acidity keeps things tidy. It’s fresh and vibrant as a style, misses some detail and stuffing but feels very approachable and generally just ‘a good drink’, which all up takes it out of the pedigree the price point it suggests is, but hey, that’s the Koerner’s prerogative.

92 Points
